  1. I suppose you are telling us that there is no internet at Wine Lake, and thus we have been reading about your last recipe for a week?

  3. Just when I'm cursing the summer people, crowded stores, sidewalks and streets, the hell of having too many social obligations to manage (for 6 weeks a year), you post photos that remind me of what a joy and privilege it is to live in a place most just vacation in. Thanks for the reality moment!

  4. That is what I'm telling you, jshu. Did they have internet at Frozen Mudslide Lake?

I have a new pink wine to tell you about about, M. LaBee. And when I say "pink" I mean "white with fizz." And that all I have to say about that!

There's no place better than this part of the country at this time of year, Sidekick. Hence the reason we vacation two hours from home in August (and in another hemisphere in February, but that's a story for a different day, six months and half a world away from now)...

  5. It looks perfect, it would be perfect, if the loons didn't eat the baby ducks.

  6. Loons also eat humans. I read it on the Internet. They are essentially dinosaurs. Dinosaurs ate ducks and humans all the time.
