the kitchen table

Last night I met my friend Lisa for dinner at the Kitchen Table in Richmond, and I was not sorry. The food was delicious, the company wonderful, the air scented slightly with manure from the farm next door. And when I drove home at 9:15, there was still light in the sky. A perfect evening, really.

My dinner: A roasted-herb polenta cake with sauteed baby beet greens, beets, and feta cheese. The entree's fluffy hat is made of microgreens from Half Pint.


Lisa's dinner: Scallops or some shizz.

Dessert: Southern chocolate cake, whatever that means, with cherry ice cream and zinfandel cherries.

  1. Holy Shizzle! I always forget about the Kitchen Table (maybe because it's pretty pricey) but whenever we go there we are SO SO SO SO happy. It is so yummy and these pictures seem to prove that point!
