Last year at this time I was auditioning apples. This year I'm hoarding them.
I currently have 23 honeycrisps in my fridge, and if all goes according to my master plan I will squirrel away enough to get me through to local berry season, skipping those pesky grapefruit altogether.
It's an evil master plan, obviously.

When you need a little variety, I just had mandarin satsumas from Hannaford's which were incredible.
ReplyDeleteI love and adore grapefruit, but man, they are soooooooooooooooooooooo much work. I get really spoiled during Clementine season---a citrus fruit that's easy to eat? Too good to be true.
ReplyDeleteNice apples.
EBids, satsumas do sound tempting, but I can't see myself getting in the car and driving to Hannaford. Especially when I have so many apples burning a hole in my crisper. So to speak.
ReplyDeleteDED, my mother-in-law claims to know an easy way to eat grapefruit, though I think I need a tutorial. Maybe I'll record and post it here.
This time last year you were auditioning apples, and this time next year I will be auditioning lovers. Funny the difference 365 days can make.
